The start of summer is upon us, so we are taking the opportunity to look back at a very special wedding we had the privilege to plan last June. We had the honor of orchestrating a double wedding at the stunning Sterling Event Venue and what a wonderful experience it was! Adam and Valerie Harjani, brother and sister, were both engaged to the love their lives. Given the size of their respective families, The Harjani’s thought a joint wedding would be the smartest option – and indeed it was!
So how did they accomplish two weddings in one you ask? Let’s dive into the details! Adam and his bride, Glory, had a separate ceremony at a local church the day before the big reception at Sterling Event Venue. The next day, Valerie and Daniel had their ceremony at Sterling Event Venue. Best part of it all? Each couple acted as a bridesmaid and groomsman in each other’s weddings, allowing them both to fully enjoy their own ceremonies!
Sterling Event Venue provided an enchanting backdrop for these two couples. Nestled among picturesque landscapes, Valerie and Daniel had a gorgeous ceremony on the outdoor lawn. The venues existing rustic arch was adorned with burgundy and blush toned floral with touches of greenery. Our team decorated the back row of chairs with chiffon draping and faux floral to further tie in their colors. Valerie walked down the long, winding aisle and over a stone bridge to “Canon In D” and met her now husband, Daniel, with their closest family and friends surrounding them. Witnessing all the love that their families had for each other was something I will never forget!
After the ceremony and formal wedding party portraits were complete, Adam and Glory changed back into their suit and wedding dress and the fun began! Two brides, two grooms, two cakes, two first dances….you get the picture. It was so fun to carefully plan out these details to ensure each couple got their moment throughout the reception and equally felt special. Vibrant pops of pinks and burgundy floral arrangements filled the rustic venue space, wowing their guests as they walked in the room. Rentaland Tent & Event Rentals draped each side of the wooden beams, creating a more intimate setting. Our two couples and their cakes spread across the massive stage so they were front and center to their guests. But before getting seated, the wonderful Sebastian of “iRock Your Party” took the stage and energized their guests for the big introduction. A spot light hit the grand staircase and cheering roared through the room as our couples walked down the grand staircase for their introduction. We love dramatic grand entrances so this was a fun moment for sure!
In between dancing, guests had a choice of enjoying two different wedding cakes, a savory and sweet crepe food truck and a nitrogen ice cream station. It was incredible! We had “The Crepe Company” parked out front of the main entrance serving various flavored crepes out of their food truck. Then, Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream took over the back end of reception, captivating their guests as they prepped each flavor.
