"Lavender Haze" - An inspired Taylor Swift Styled Shoot

Step into a Lavender Haze with our latest styled shoot, inspired by the ethereal beauty of Taylor Swift’s “Midnights Era”. Prepare to be dazzled as we take you through a whimsical journey through all the event spaces Villa Festa has to offer for your wedding day!

If you haven’t experienced Villa Festa, it’s a must! Nestled in the heart of Deland, Florida this brand new venue is an absolute DREAM. Taking us back into the allure of Italian Renaissance, Villa Festa is a newly restored historic dating back to 1925. For my couples out there seeking a true wedding weekend, look no further as this venue also serves as a vacation rental. Offering 5 bedrooms with a private newlyweds quarter along with various amenities in the home, Villa Festa ensures your comfort and relaxation after a weekend of festivities.

As a devoted “Swiftie”, I wanted to commemorate a new era come to life while also celebrating Simply Enchanted Events’ 3 years in business! The Lavender Haze concept resonated with us as it truly embodies everything we represent: colorful, bold, whimsical and fun weddings. Our Lead Planner, Kayla, and I were the masterminds behind the design. We immersed ourselves in the music video and were enraptured by the blend of smokey purples and deep blues that were reflected throughout.

Overall, we wanted to show off the beauty of Villa Festa while captivating the hues of purple and lush greenery growing from the ground. The magnificent oak tree at the ceremony site was our perfect opportunity to showcase this. Collaborating with the talented florists at “Easy Flowers By You”, we brought the vision to life by having florals and foliage growing from the earth and ascending up the oak tree. The end result was a stunning backdrop of our couple to say their “I Dos”.

To manifest the dream-like state “Lavender Haze” portrays, we created a purple glittery drink and topped it off with white cotton candy to create a mini cloud effect. The Pour Filly, a mobile bar, created a super cute setup on Villa Festa’s pavers in front of the house. Echo Event Rentals provided the iridescent ribbed coupe glasses that our bride used to serve her groom the purple concoction. As our bride added the cotton candy, we watched as it dissolved in the mixture like magic. We also had “The Graze Room” feature their mini charcuterie cups on the mobile bar – a perfect appetizer for cocktail hour!

We loved exploring the wedding attire for our bride and groom. From the start, I knew it was a must to work with Leonardo 5th Avenue for the suit design. We found the perfect midnight blue suit with velvet lapels that perfectly captured the elegance and sophistication we were going for. To infuse a vibrant touch, Easy Flowers By You added a beautiful pocket square boutonniere – my new favorite trend. Our brides dress came from Lily’s Bridal and it was magical. Adorned with intricate lace details cascading down the dress, it flawlessly complemented the whimsical nature of this shoot. The ladies from House of Sheen, our hair and makeup team, did an outstanding job with the touches of purple eye makeup and the wispy pieces of hair framing our brides face. Kayla added the most adorable butterfly clips and floral pieces to her hair to complete the look.

Designing the sweetheart and reception tables was a delight! The terrace at Villa Festa is such a prominent spot for wedding receptions, so we knew that was our location for the sweetheart table. We transformed the blank outdoor concrete wall and added hanging floral as a breathtaking backdrop for our couple. Utilizing the venue’s onsite farm table and cozy grey couch, we enhanced it with colorful candles, mini disco balls and lush floral complementing the overall aesthetic of the shoot.

Within the home we featured a purple vintage cake design, by Sweet Miss V’s, set atop the homes white dresser with greenery and blooms pieced around it. Our farm-style reception table exuded whimsical charm, featuring alternating purple candle sticks, mini disco balls, and a cloud like white runner creating a dreamy atmosphere. The cutest little acrylic place cards added a personal touch for guests to enjoy as a keepsake. We loved the enchanting shades of purple running down the length of the table!

The grand staircase at the entrance to the home was just dying to be decorated. The team from Easy Flowers by You repurposed the ceremony floral, as we do for many real weddings, to the staircase. Beginning with lush ground floral at the base, we had the greenery and blooms trail up all the way up the railing. This is such a great spot for a grand entrance or even a first look/touch, so it was a goal of mine to have this highlighted in our styled shoot.

Moving onto the fireplace, we wanted to feature the retro style prominently displayed in the Lavender Haze music video. Kayla broke out her old record player and we filled it with floral as if it were growing out of it. Adding to the nostalgic charm, I included a vintage black phone, which is now most popular for guest books – another favorite trend. The ultimate design that tied this piece together was the balloon arch from The Collaborative Events and Co. Johanna was a dream to work with! She flawlessly captured the vision by mixing the shades of purple and metallic tones throughout the balloons. I would hands down recommend her to anyone seeking to elevate their event with this eye-catching feature.

The stationary details were such a favorite as well! Kait with Bare Lettered Designs created the perfect touch with her exquisite stationary pieces. Every element, from the lavender record to the smoky backdrop on the invitations, was perfect. We added heart shaped glasses and disco balls to give it that retro feel.

We ended the night with our couple standing amongst the trees as Kayla and I ran behind them releasing deep blue and purple smoke bombs, ultimately giving you that “Lavender Haze” feel. There were many highlights to this whimsical, vibrant shoot and this was one of them! Kayla and I loved creating such a remarkable day. Fueled by our passion for color and exciting ideas that our couples bring to us for their wedding day, we wanted to showcase our creativity and what we are capable of achieving. I hope this leaves you inspired as we prepare for a busy wedding season ahead. Until the next Era!
